You have a way of making your regulars feel appreciated here on your blog. It’s the reason I go for yours first in the morning!

Keep up the great work! Now that I’ll hopefully have my flash in hand soon, I’ll want to know the best way to use it on-camera. Perhaps we could sweet-talk you into throwing a video together with some helpful tips.

I’m a bit late getting to this. Friday was an odd day for me.

I kinda wish I had participated in the photo walk in Syracuse. I had other plans though. I celebrated my birthday this past weekend and hopefully, I’ll be ordering my 580ex II soon.

Thanks for the link to “Tonal Quality and Dynamic Range…” article. I’ll be printing that off for some leisurely reading.

BTW: Naturally, I’m a bit curious about the “hey john, it’s friday” part of your title.

Thanks for the tip about the Photo Walk. I signed up at the last minute and went out Saturday morning to participate. I took my son (8) along with his point and shoot and we had a blast.

Juan and Jim, thanks so much for the kind comments. We did have a beautiful day. I was worried that we would get that tropical storm coming up our way, but it stayed away and seemed to cleared away our typical summer haze. The high was in the mid-80s with low humidity and there was a nice wind that kept it feeling much cooler. Some rain the night before would have been nice as there was hardly any water going over the falls due to our draught.

Jim, they say a picture says a thousand words, but I like to think a few words can help focus those words into a better context. Maybe I should have been a photo-journalist.

I hope this could be the start of a photowalking community here. Guess we will just have to see what happens.

Wow, gorgeous photos / day / color, Craig. I really like your comments, they take it a step beyone beautiful photography.

Juan, I’ll have some video up in a couple days from the Cincinnati Photo Walk. David and LaDawn Ziser were GREAT hosts and went above and beyond to make it a fun walk and a good time. David is talking about a sequel, though, so we’ll get you in the next time.

Nice looking gallery you got there Craig! What city did you do the walk in? I wish I could have done the photo walk here in Cincinnati, but when I found out about it it was already fully booked. The photowalk was a lot of fun. We had great weather, met several new photography enthusists, and got some nice shots.
